Please rest assured that we are doing all we can to ensure a safe return to our school in September. Your safety is our upmost priority and we are following all government guidelines. Therefore, we have introduced the following measures to provide maintain a COVID secure environment in which you can enjoy your classes with us. These are based on current guidelines and may change.

  • We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and we have shared this with our employees.

  • We have cleaning, hand washing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance.

  • Hand sanitising stations will be available in the entrance as well as in each classroom.

  • Please disinfect your workstation (desk, screen and back of chair handle) before and after your class. Other areas of high use will be disinfected before and after each class by the tutors.

  • A through deep clean will be taking place before the school reopens in September.

  • Cleaning hours will be increased.

  • Opening windows will be installed in each classroom to permit natural ventilation.

  • Desks will be spaced as far apart as possible. All students will be sat at least 1.2 m apart.

  • Desk shields will be installed on all desks.

  • Safe distancing will be promoted all times through appropriate signage.

  • Please bring your own equipment and avoid sharing.

  • The kitchen area will be closed at least initially, but students are more than welcome to bring their own drinks and snacks.

  • Students are encouraged to wear a mask/face shield when entering and leaving the building.

  • Students and staff must not attend the school if they feel unwell.

  • If you are unwell, have coronavirus symptoms or if you cannot attend the class in person (for whatever reason), you can join the class, that is taking place in Honley, online. As class sizes will be restricted please can you inform us if you intend to attend online.

  • If any further lockdown occurs the classes will take place online.

  • The school will do its upmost to maintain a COVID secure environment, however the school accepts no responsibility for the transmission of COVID-19 on our premises and students will do so at their own risk.

We are looking forward to welcoming all our students, old and new back to our school.
