Together with relatives and friends the students and partners at The Modern Language School Meltham have helped raise a total of £426 for Sports Relief this year! Emily Addy (Vicky’s 8 year old daughter) is taking part in the Swimathon on Saturday 19th March at Holmfirth Pool. Her team which is called NabbFish and comprises of Emily and Rosie (8 yrs old) will swim 1.5km to raise money for Sports Relief. Emily and Rosie are two of the youngest members of the KAL swimming academy and work very hard at their swimming, attending weekly training sessions, lessons and swimming Gala’s.
50% of the money raised stays in the UK to fund things like supporting young carers and young people in the UK with a disability and 50% goes overseas and pays for things such as textbooks for children so they can go to school or to help children living on the streets access basic health care.
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have sponsored Emily and for those who have not yet had the chance here is the link:
We will keep you updated as to how they do on Saturday and we wish them all the best!
